How This Project Came to Be
Site & Context
Framed by leafy views of Avenue Foch, this 900 square foot apartment tells a story of warmth, contrast and carefully composed space. Pale timber, dark architectural lines and touches of burgundy give the home a distinct identity, balancing the intimacy of its scale with a generous sense of openness. In the living room, daylight falls across herringbone parquet and soft ivory seating. A geometric rug introduces rhythm and colour, while a sculptural coffee table brings the warmth of metallic finishes into the centre of the room. Art adds an expressive, personal presence against the restrained architectural backdrop. Timber panelling creates a continuous thread through the interior. Its vertical lines frame the dark stone television wall and extend towards the open kitchen, where fluted cabinetry meets richly veined surfaces. The breakfast counter becomes a natural meeting point, connecting the pleasure of cooking with conversation in the living space. Beside the windows, a round dining table offers a more intimate setting, surrounded by deep red upholstered chairs. The bedrooms shift towards a softer mood. Cream fabrics, padded headboards and warm bedside lighting create restful spaces, with dark frames lending definition to the delicate palette. Mirrored wardrobes reflect daylight and views, adding depth while keeping the rooms visually calm. In the bathroom, expressive stone veining takes centre stage, balanced by timber accents and clean-lined fittings. Even the guest powder room carries the apartment’s character through its combination of ribbed wood, dark stone and graphic pattern. From morning light through the trees to the glow of evening lamps, Avenue Foch offers a quietly rich setting for everyday life. A compact Parisian home with texture, personality and room to unwind.
"The team was efficient, delays were respected and the result beyond our expectations ! This home made us love coming to Paris even more. Margaret & Dale Barrett"
