Invalides

Concept Evolution

Three generous windows open onto the Esplanade des Invalides, drawing its greenery and changing light into this 1,480 square foot Parisian apartment. Inside, curved forms, warm wood and luminous metallic details create a home where entertaining feels effortless and private moments feel equally considered. The living space unfolds around the view. A sweeping ivory sofa, backed by a timber bookcase, gently defines the seating area while maintaining an open connection with the dining room. Chevron parquet runs beneath both spaces, bringing warmth and continuity. Near the fireplace, illuminated arched shelves hold books and personal objects, giving the room the intimacy of a lived-in library. At the heart of the apartment, the bar sets the scene for evenings with friends. Ribbed timber, a pale stone counter and an illuminated brass-toned arch form a rich backdrop to the glassware. Suspended lights lend a playful, sculptural rhythm above the counter. From an aperitif at the bar to dinner around the oval table, the spaces invite people to move, gather and linger. Curves carry this sense of ease into the private rooms. In the principal bedroom, tall upholstered panels and sheer curtains soften the daylight, while slender globe pendants bring a gentle glow to the bedside. The adjoining bathroom continues the warm palette through pale stone, timber cabinetry and brass fittings, with an illuminated semicircular niche creating a quiet focal point above the bath. The guest bedroom offers its own character: a generous timber arch frames a botanical headboard, introducing deep green into the otherwise delicate palette. That colour returns with greater intensity in the powder room, where emerald ribbed walls, dark surfaces and warm lighting create an unexpected jewel-like space. Overlooking the openness of the esplanade, this home balances a generous welcome with places of retreat. A Parisian setting for convivial evenings, slow mornings and the everyday pleasure of a beautiful view.
