How This Project Came to Be
Site & Context
Light moves across parquet floors, tracing the curves of an archway before falling softly onto timber panelling. In this Trocadéro apartment, Parisian elegance meets the warmth and ease of contemporary living. Across 3,000 square feet, a rich architectural language brings the rooms together: generous proportions, intricate mouldings and tall French windows, paired with sculptural furniture and tactile fabrics. A palette of cream, honey and warm brown creates continuity, while forest green, burgundy and muted blue give each space its own character. The entrance sets the rhythm. Framed by timber arches, views into the reception rooms invite discovery. In the salon, enveloping armchairs and a curved ivory sofa soften the formality of the wood-panelled walls. Beyond, a generous dining table sits beneath a luminous sculptural pendant, creating a setting for long meals and unhurried conversation. The kitchen offers a deeper, more intimate mood. Dark green cabinetry meets expressive marble veining and warm metallic details, bringing richness to the rituals of everyday life. In the private rooms, the atmosphere becomes quieter. Soft upholstery, layered textiles and gently illuminated joinery give the bedrooms a restful intimacy. The principal suite opens towards a dressing room, while its bathroom brings together pale stone, suspended mirrors and a fireplace in a composition that feels distinctly Parisian. Throughout the apartment, the pleasure lies in these encounters: the grain of wood beside polished stone, a contemporary curve beneath classical mouldings, daylight giving way to the gentle glow of evening lamps. Together, they create a home that feels generous, personal and deeply connected to its Parisian setting.
