How This Project Came to Be
Concept Evolution
Beyond the windows, Paris unfolds in layers of pale stone, zinc rooftops and chimney pots, with the Eiffel Tower rising in the distance. Inside this 1,450 square foot apartment, warm timber, soft textiles and touches of green create an intimate setting from which to enjoy the city. The living room brings that relationship into focus. Generous ivory seating gathers around a low, sculptural table, inviting conversation while keeping the skyline in view. Geometric curtains frame the windows with an expressive combination of green, cream and dark tones, echoed in velvet cushions. Art and carefully placed objects give the room a personal, collected character. Throughout the shared spaces, vertical timber panelling introduces texture and rhythm. It wraps the central fireplace volume and continues towards the dining area, connecting the rooms through a consistent architectural detail. Herringbone parquet adds warmth underfoot, while metallic accents catch the light. As daylight fades, concealed lighting and slender wall lamps give the interior a gentler glow. The kitchen takes the palette in a richer direction. Pale wood cabinetry contrasts with dark, finely veined surfaces, creating a practical and welcoming space for daily rituals, from the first morning coffee to preparations for an evening with friends. In the bedrooms, muted taupe, cream and warm grey establish a restful mood. Upholstered headboards, layered bedding and full-length curtains soften the clean architectural lines. A glimpse of the Eiffel Tower beyond the rooftops makes even a quiet moment feel connected to Paris. The bathrooms continue this sense of calm through pale veined surfaces, timber vanities and softly illuminated mirrors. Together, these spaces offer a home shaped around everyday comfort and the pleasure of its outlook: a place to gather, retreat and watch the changing light over Paris.
"Le résultat nous a comblés. Très belle expérience... A recommencer pour la prochaine aventure. Christian & Léa Pérault"
